Nomex Paper Tape

DuPont Nomex Tapes are slitted from DuPont Nomex type 410 paper. The paper is a proprietary product of DuPont .It is a calendared insulation paper that offers a high dielectric strength, mechanical toughness, flexibility and resilience.

Application

Most popular – the thinnest available paper (2mil) of DuPont™ Nomex in Tape from are widely used for wrapping bare rectangle copper conductors of dry type transformers and electric motors. DuPont™ Nomex® Tapes in other various thicknesses are used as interturn insulation of pancake coils of electromagnets.

DuPont™ Nomex® Tapes are further tailor cut in specific lengths which are used as insulation in manufacturing of high temperature electrical equipment’s like welding transformers, small high temperature motors and traction motors.

Availability

DuPont™ Nomex® Tapes are available slitted in widths from 12mm and above wound on standard  38mm / 50mm ID in continuous lengths to facilitate machine taping.

Cut to size pieces are also available in kit form as per specific requirements.
